Jean-Michel EVANGHELOU, Deputy Director of the Rail System, UIC (France)

Jean-Michel Evanghelou is the Director of Telecom, Signalling and Digital Applications, also Director of Financial Controlling and Project Operations, as well as the Deputy Director of the Rail System of UIC. During his career, he held various positions of Director within Orange Group and joined afterwards Nortel Networks where he had different roles in the international business, serving as Vice-President for various telecom technologies and segments. He has been also serving as Director of the Railway Business Unit of Kapsch Group. Jean-Michel graduated as engineer from the Ecole Centrale of Paris.

Navneet Kaushik, Director Systems & Operations, NCRTC (India)

Mr Navneet Kaushik is working as Director Systems & Operations in National Capital Region Transport Corporation, New Delhi India since July 2019. He has been in Railway Industry for more than 33 years dealing particularly with Signalling, Telecommunication, Platform Screen Doors and AFC. He is a graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
He worked for Signalling and Telecommunication department of Indian Railways for 17 years. Thereafter, he has worked in Delhi Metro for more than 14 years. During this period, he had opportunity to commission first CBTC project in the country in Kochi, Kerala India. He has handled Train Control (CBTC) on multiple projects including DTO/UTO. Apart from this, he has worked on Communications, Platform Screen Doors and AFC systems in metros.
Currently, he is working on first RRTS project of India as Director Systems & Operations looking after Signalling, Telecommunications, AFC, PSD, IT and Operational requirements. There will be 8 RRTS corridors, out of these, three corridors are to be executed as part of Phase 1 in coming years. It’s an ambitious project where in ETCS Hybrid Level 3 with ATO over LTE & PSD is planned. These first three corridors are interconnected and hence the Signalling technology must be interoperable.
While working in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, he had opportunity to work with most of the Signalling vendors. He has played important role of finalizing the specifications, tenders, designs and execution of Signalling & Train Control, Communication and Platform Screen Doors on different lines of Delhi Metro. Apart from New Delhi, he had similar role in Kochi Metro, another city of Southern India and Hyderabad Metro.


Stefano Marcoccio, ERTMS Project Manager, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana S.p.A. (Italy)

Stefano Marcoccio : from 1999 has work as Control & Automation Engineer projecting , configuring and doing start up of numerous Automatic Process Control System in chemical plants.
He has been employed in RFI S.p.A since 2003 starting as a member of development and homologation of the trackside Automatic Train Control systems team.From may 2007 he is a member of ETCS workgroup for European corridors. In 2015 became ERTMS Team Leader for the Mediterranean Rail Freight Corridor and in 2019 take the lead of ERTMS Brenner Corridor Platform Working Group. Currently he’s a Project Manager in RFI ERTMS Business Unit.


Dr Sergio Repetto, Head of System Development (Research & Development Dept.), Rete Ferroviaria Italiana S.p.A. (Italy)

Sergio Repetto is Head of System Development in the Research & Development Department of RFI S.p.A. (Italian Infrastructure Manager) from 2022.
He joined RFI S.p.A. in 2019 after having worked in Railway Signalling business in several Public Companies since 1995.
He graduated in Electronic Engineering (Master of Science) at Genoa University in 1993.

Thomas Denis, Mainline Wayside Segment Director, Alstom (France)

In 2018, Thomas was appointed Platform & Product Technical Director. From 2015 to 2018, he was Italy Development Center Director, Italy being the Excellence Center for Route control for Alstom. From 2012 to June 2015, he was Saint-Ouen Development Center Director, Saint-Ouen being the Excellence Center for Alstom CBTC. From 2008 to 2012, he was responsible of several department within Urban R&D and ATC projects. Thomas joined Alstom in 2008.
Thomas DENIS started his career in 1999 at PSA (Automotive) in Paris, he held several position in V&V, Real-Time SW development and system activities.
Born in France in 1976, Thomas DENIS, is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure d’Electronique de l’Ouest in Angers (France).
